Favor – an act of kindness beyond what is due or unusual.
I have been told my ENTIRE life, the God that I serve is merciful, compassionate, gracious, long-suffering and most of all loving. When you reach a certain level of spiritual maturity (there’s levels to this Christianity thing) you begin to learn what God’s favor consist of. Much like His “grace” its sufficient and its normally given under the circumstances of us not deserving it. The clock of favor is such an incredible term.
Like the chimes on a grandfather clock. The whimsically chimes of favor dings louder and louder signifying your time of exceedingly and abundantly blessings. Everything we’ve done, are doing, and will do is according to the time table of God. There’s nothing that has happened in your life, He didn’t allow. But, His remarkable favor falls on the chosen ones. These individuals practice obedience, they diligently seek His face and not His hand, they pray and fast in private, so that they can be rewarded in public. This particular cause and effect releases His favor over your life. There are three significant tests that occurs in a favorable applicant’s life that sets them up for the refreshing, overwhelming, and restoring Favor of God.
Jealousy (The 10 o’clock chime)
Song of Solomon 8:6 – Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy is fierce as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the LORD
When I speak of jealousy I wouldn’t dare mention the mediocre kind. You know that kind that can’t tolerate the way you dress, your career success or anything that pertains to material things. I’m speaking of the kind that despises your anointing and gifts. This infected individual will not just do harm to you but to ones self . They will go to the extreme to break you mentally, physically, and/or spiritually if possible. Their goal is to derail you from the purposeful path that God has created for your life. Their destructive behavior will bleed over from one aspect of your life to the next. Their inner demons have recognize and agreed to bring you down at all cost. The favor over your life has literally gone off like a siren in their inner being. It’s almost equivalent to cancer. Their venomous plans spread quickly. These people are usually a dear friend and/or family member. They know every strength and weakness you are made up of. Knowing who you are and who you belong to is key to passing this gateway test.
Betrayal (the 11 o’clock chime)
Job 19:19-My close friends detest me. Those I loved have turned against me.
After, the jealousy stage betrayal must follow. With betrayal comes the search for comrades. Betrayal always needs an accomplice. It grows stronger and stronger due to pride and an audience. These individuals will search high and low to find those that will stand up against you. They will even go as low as creating webs of lies to capture once a loyal confidants in your life. Their misery requires watching you suffer. The goal of creating a victim in you has now come into play. The ditch diggers won’t stop until they see you take your last breath. Sometimes this can be literally or spiritually. They will humiliate and diminish your character. What, the betrayer hasn’t realized is; at this point, they have put you in a place where your favor has now been activated to its highest potential.
Forgiveness (the midnight chime)
2 Corinthians 2:5-8– If anyone has caused grief, he has not so much grieved me as he has grieved all of you to some extent—not to put it too severely. The punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient. Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him.
After, the knee bending betrayal. Comes the last and final test. The test of all test. The test that opens God’s hands that are full of blessings to be released over your life. Right now the clock of favor has struck in the midnight hour. Like His faithful word, “Weeping may endure for night but joy cometh in the morning.” You have to forgive. God has literally allowed all of this dishonor to occur, so He can honor you publicly. He knew this was a character building quest that you had to endure. It was a must! You needed to be able to not understand His character and realize that He is your defender.
Forgiveness is an offensive position. It allows God to play defense. You must remember if you’re faithful or not to Him, He is ALWAYS, ALWAYS faithful. You cannot sit back and think He allowed it and isn’t going to restore and heal you. He said, “Vengeance is mine.” He can’t protect you unless you trust Him with the good and the bad. Now, you are exactly where God wants you. You are in a position of blessings so you can now become a blessing to those once notorious ditch diggers of yours. You will either pass or fail. Are you going to be the blessing or serve the same dish they gave you? Your favor is seconds away from chiming out of the wee hours. After all of these occurrences; will you be able to exemplify all the characteristics your father in heaven is glorified for? You must always keep in mind. Nothing that you’ve been through or has happened to you was about you. There is a bigger picture and a better good in mind. Your compassion and forgiveness has now just released impeccable favor over your life. Now, the freedom you learned to walk in alone has now become an experience of joy for you all.
